Reject harmful healthcare legislation that trades coverage for tax cuts.

The House-passed bill would have devastating impacts on health coverage for millions of Americans who rely on Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act. According to the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office's analysis, this legislation would cause nearly 14 million people to lose their health insurance, stripping away critical financial assistance that helps low-income individuals and families access needed care and prescription drugs. While proponents claim tax cuts will offset these losses, independent experts conclude the bill's benefits largely favor higher-income Americans, doing little to help those who would bear the brunt of its health care cuts. Older adults, people with disabilities, and families across the country cannot afford to lose access to affordable, quality health coverage and care. Protecting their well-being and economic security should be a paramount concern. I urge you to reject this misguided and harmful legislation that trades away health care for millions to finance tax policies benefiting the wealthiest few. Preserving and strengthening Medicaid, Medicare, and the Affordable Care Act must be the priority to safeguard access to care for your most vulnerable constituents. Vote no on this dangerous bill.
