Elect Bernie Sanders as Senate House Majority Leader and Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (AOC) as Speaker Of The House for 2027. Yesterday's results were a mandate. Voters chose a new generation of Democratic fighters, and the House and Senate caucus needs to honor that. We need new leadership to take the reins of the new Congress that will be seated in 2027. We need people who are advocates for the working people of America and both Bernie and AOC have shown remarkable leadership and willingness to advocate for the needs of Americans. Senate and House Democrats did not earn these margins by running on more of the same. New leadership is how this caucus shows it actually heard the voters. The wins Democrats just earned were historic, and they came from voters who want a break from status quo politics, not a return to it.
