I am writing to thank Senator Gary Peters for committing to vote against the upcoming Department of Homeland Security funding bill. It's clear to many of Senator Peters' constituents that ICE poses a serious threat to our communities, and I am glad to see his recent public statements acknowledging this threat and committing to vote no. However, there is more work that can be done. I ask that Senator Peters, alongside fellow Democrats, demand full investigations into ICE's murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. I am also calling on Senator Peters to call for the impeachment of Kristi Noem as the Secretary of Homeland Security. Senator Peters, your Michigan constituents see what is happening is Minnesota and are outraged. Action needs to be taken to keep our communities safe.
