No More Deportations

To: Sen. Slotkin, Sen. Peters

From: A verified voter in Marlette, MI

March 31, 2025

Franco established his first concentration camp on 19 July 1936 and began deportations of supporters of democracy there. The Nazis began deportations of Jewish People to concentration camps in December 1941. Pinochet established Cuatro Álamos in 1973 and ordered deportations of pro-democracy dissidents there. Deportations. And now we are doing this again. I say "again" because we have done this before. I know that racism and fascism are fashionable these days. However, as before, they will fall out of favour with everyday people, and democracy will be restored. History books will be written - and this time, not by the United Daughters of the Confederacy. Decide today on which side of those history textbooks you want your grandchildren to find your name. Oppose trump's deportations today.
