I would like to remind every elected official that there are Germans alive today who will not allow their photograph to be taken. Why is this relevant to the US? Those Germans collaborated with the Nazi government during WW2. They were children at the time, but they know the German people are still actively looking to hold them accountable. Today, the Trump administration is still in power. Today, you are being promised immunity if you just go along. Someday, that will not be the case. Someday, the American people will remember every action you took while the Constitution was under attack. Someday, you will be held to account. Someday, you will be on trial. The American people will make sure you do not have one moment's peace untill actions or inactions that you took are weighed on the scales of justice. If you do not believe this day will come, then you have sorely misjudged the pain and suffering that is happening in every corner of the country.
