An Open Letter

To: Rep. Rose, Sen. Blackburn, Sen. Hagerty

From: A constituent in Nashville, TN

September 18, 2025

I’m writing to express my deep outrage over the Trump administration’s relentless assault on our constitutional right to free speech. Using the power of the White House and federal agencies to silence anyone who politically opposes them is a disgusting abuse of power and must be stopped. I ask that Sens. Marsha Blackburn & Bill Hagerty and Rep. John Ross all forcefully condemn the administration’s exploitation of political violence to attack our freedom of speech and demand the resignation of FCC chair Brendan Carr for threatening media companies and violating the First Amendment. “Hate speech does not exist legally in America. There’s ugly speech. There’s gross speech. There’s evil speech. And all of it is protected by the First Amendment.” – Charlie Kirk Thank you for your time and consideration.
