Vote NO – Democracy Doesn’t Serve the Wealthy Few

To: Rep. Huizenga, Sen. Peters, Sen. Slotkin

From: A constituent in Kalamazoo, MI

June 11

I strongly encourage you to vote NO on the “Big Beautiful Bill.” This isn’t real reform – it’s a deliberate transfer of wealth from hardworking Americans to the ultra-wealthy. It slashes essential programs like healthcare and food assistance while transferring massive tax benefits to billionaires and corporations. It adds trillions to the deficit without any clear accountability. This isn’t governance; it’s governance for the very privileged few, not for the many. This bill also limits local governments from regulating artificial intelligence, handing over control of a technology that will influence every aspect of our lives to powerful tech monopolies. We can’t let our communities be left powerless against unchecked AI. The United States is founded on the principle of No Kings – no one should wield unchecked power over the people, whether that’s economic or technological. Remember, your duty is to your constituents, not to the wealthy elite. Vote NO to safeguard economic fairness, local control, democratic accountability, and the well-being and health of the people you serve.
