There should be no funding for a ballroom at the White House. I don’t want a dime of my tax dollars going towards such a lavish and unnecessary expense.
We have a firearm epidemic in this country, which affects all of us. Children are shot in schools on a regular basis. We have more guns than people. And, despite the Second Amendment starting with the words “A well regulated…”, the gun lobby argues that any regulation equals infringement. This is patently absurd, the argument has no merit—and yet it appears to be the way most of our members of Congress feel.
So, if you want to make some changes to the laws to make us all safer, then have at it. I would love to feel safer in my own country.
But there cannot be wasteful spending on this ridiculous ballroom project to protect our delusional fascist president. Please vote no on any bill that provides funding for the ballroom, and urge all of your colleagues to do the same. If we can’t afford nationalized healthcare, then we can’t afford ballrooms.
Thank you for your important work.
