Block Hakeem Jeffries from becoming Speaker and push for new Senate Democratic leadership before January. Democrats just won a historic election, and the first thing Jeffries said afterward was to rule out impeachment and promise not to "get even." That is not a leader reading the room. That is a leader protecting the establishment.
Jeffries has longstanding financial ties to corporate PACs and is one of AIPAC's top recipients, while the majority of Democratic voters now oppose more aid to Israel. After the election, AIPAC publicly congratulated Jeffries and Schumer by name and promised to keep funding candidates who stay in line. That endorsement should disqualify them, not celebrate them.
A petition to replace Jeffries has over 500,000 signatures. Senator-elect Peggy Flanagan called for new Senate leadership on election night. Chris Van Hollen said plainly that "it's not a time for incrementalism." These wins belong to voters who want bold action, not managed retreat. Give them leaders who will actually deliver it.
