Restore Ukraine intel sharing to counter Russian aggression

To: Sen. Slotkin, Rep. Huizenga, Sen. Peters

From: A constituent in Kalamazoo, MI

March 8

The Trump administration's decision to pause intelligence sharing with Ukraine is deeply concerning and risks undermining Ukraine's ability to defend itself against Russian aggression. As a key ally in the fight against authoritarianism and a bulwark of democracy in Europe, Ukraine relies heavily on U.S. intelligence support to track Russian troop movements and target enemy forces. Cutting off this vital flow of information jeopardizes Ukrainian lives and emboldens Putin's expansionist ambitions. I urge the administration to immediately restore intelligence cooperation with Ukraine. Withholding strategic intelligence aids Russia's illegal invasion and tarnishes America's credibility as a reliable partner. Ukraine is valiantly resisting a revanchist power that threatens the rules-based international order. The U.S. must reaffirm its unwavering commitment to Ukraine's territorial integrity and sovereign right to self-defense. Shared democratic values and mutual security interests demand robust backing for Ukraine through this existential struggle.
