Cut US Funding Enabling Israeli Settler Violence Against Palestinians

To: Sen. Hoeven, Pres. Trump, Sen. Cramer, Rep. Fedorchak

From: A constituent in Bismarck, ND

August 16

Stop sending American taxpayer money to a government that is burning Palestinian families out of their homes. On August 5, around 40 armed settlers torched the village of Al-Tuba in the West Bank, beating a pregnant woman until she had a fractured skull and two broken arms, hospitalizing an eight-year-old girl, and choking a ten-year-old boy while his sister hid in a smoke-filled bathroom. Israeli soldiers on the scene threatened Palestinian residents with arrest instead of stopping the attackers. This is not an isolated incident. Israeli authorities recorded a 63 percent surge in settler attacks in just the first half of 2026. A June Amnesty International report called it a state-led campaign of ethnic cleansing. UN experts confirmed these attacks happen "with the protection, and often the participation, of the Israeli occupation forces." Verbal condemnation from Washington means nothing when the checks keep clearing. Cut the funding, impose conditions, and make clear that American support is not unconditional. Palestinian children deserve to sleep in their homes without fear of being burned alive.
