An Open Letter

To: Sen. Peters, Sen. Slotkin, Rep. Moolenaar

From: A constituent in Rockford, MI

July 15

Reject the Warfare State: No Blank Checks for Irresponsible Activity Our government’s fiscal irresponsibility and unconstitutional overreach have reached a tipping point. As the Senate considers the massive $1.15 trillion NDAA, I urge you to stand firm and reject this bloated legislation. First, you must vote against any funding or authorization that escalates or supports the war crimes and imperialism this administration perpetrates. Washington must stop entangling our nation in endless foreign conflicts that drain our resources and compromise our national security. Second, reject further spending on ICE. Safeguarding individual liberty requires halting the expansion of a heavily funded, militarized domestic enforcement state. Finally, deny the NDAA any passage until the Pentagon successfully completes and passes a comprehensive financial audit. Continuing to funnel trillions of taxpayer dollars into an unaccountable black box is a direct betrayal of your fiduciary duty. It is time to implement fiscal sanity, demand strict accountability, and prioritize peace & prosperity on the homefront.
