Day after day, I read story after story about ICE agents detaining people who are legally in this country and doing terrible things to them, up to and including killing them - also physically abusing them, imprisoning them, depriving them of needful medical care, and of course deporting them. These stories are chilling and heartbreaking. There is no accountability for these actions, apparently. Families and attorneys and communities are fighting with everything they have to bring people home who should never have been grabbed in the first place. What. The. Hell. Is. Going. On. Is there no law anymore? Are there no restraints anymore? This is destroying us as a country. We are morally broken. We are legally broken. I am distraught.
