Deepfake pornography poses a serious threat to privacy and personal dignity. Without consent, it sexually exploits individuals and causes immense emotional harm. While some states have criminalized deepfake porn, there is an urgent need for comprehensive federal legislation to address this issue uniformly across the nation. I urge you to support efforts to ban the creation, possession, and distribution of deepfake pornographic content involving adults without their consent. The law must keep pace with rapidly evolving technology to protect citizens from such egregious violations of privacy and dignity. Deepfake porn enables virtual sexual assault, and its proliferation undermines public trust and safety. Strong federal legislation is crucial to holding perpetrators accountable and providing legal recourse for victims. No one should have their image exploited in this manner against their will. Decisive action is needed to make deepfake pornography illegal throughout the United States and impose appropriate criminal penalties. Public exposure and humiliation through non-consensual deepfakes can shatter lives - we must act to safeguard the rights and wellbeing of all Americans.
