Strengthen Voting Rights

To: Sen. Durbin, Sen. Duckworth, Rep. Foster

From: A verified voter in Batavia, IL

May 14

I am very angry about the Supreme Court effectively invalidating Section 2 which guts the Voting Rights Act by  allowing states to deny minority populations fair representation. Many Southern States have already begun to redraw districts to systematically dilute minority citizens voting power. This ruling proves yet again that we need strong voting rights legislation and Supreme Court reform.I ask that you: 1. Speak out against this political attack on our democracy 2.  Support the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act 3.  Reintroduce the Freedom to Vote Act 4.  Support a federal ban on partisan gerrymandering  and support  measures to reform the Supreme Court, such as term limits and limits on the use of shadow docket rulings. Thank you.
