SAVE Act - Voter Suppression

To: Sen. Gillibrand, Sen. Schumer, Rep. Clarke

From: A constituent in Brooklyn, NY

April 9

As Republicans and MAGA push their agenda, the SAVE act is poorly written and will become a form of voter suppression. I am in favor of a voter ID card, but this should be a free card, just like social security cards. Anything other than a free ID card is a poll tax. Making it more difficult and costly to vote very much goes against democratic principles and ideals the act as I understand it is written must be stopped and opposed. Please vote no and convince the responsible and moderate Republicans that this needs to be addressed and a fair and equitable system put in place. Thank you
