Congress must do what it was designed to do. Check the president.

I am writing with rage and disbelief at Congress’s continued failure to stop an out-of-control President who is dragging the United States — and the entire world — toward catastrophe. Let me be absolutely clear: we are now facing the greatest risk of a Third World War and nuclear escalation since the Cuban Missile Crisis, and Congress is doing nothing. President Donald Trump has illegally invaded Venezuela in direct violation of the War Powers Resolution, Article 2 of the United Nations Charter, and the most basic principles of international law. Venezuela posed zero threat to the United States. This was not self-defense. It was an unprovoked act of military aggression. That alone is an impeachable offense. But it did not stop there. Trump is now openly threatening multiple sovereign nations — including Cuba, Mexico, Colombia, Iran, and even Greenland, a NATO-allied territory — with military action if they do not submit to U.S. demands. This is reckless saber-rattling, imperial bullying, and strategic insanity. Threatening allies and neighboring nations alike is how regional conflicts spiral into global wars. This is not “tough diplomacy.” This is rogue-state behavior. Congress must confront what is plainly obvious: the President is not mentally fit to wield this level of destructive power. His erratic threats, fixation on territorial expansion, hostility toward allies, and complete disregard for domestic and international law represent an immediate danger to humanity. I am demanding that Congress: • Immediately assert its authority under the War Powers Resolution • Demand an independent, comprehensive mental fitness evaluation of the President • Require that the results be made public, because the American people deserve to know who is holding the nuclear codes • Impeach, convict, and remove Donald Trump from office for repeated, flagrant violations of U.S. and international law Investigations are no longer enough. The violations are public. The threats are public. The danger is public. Delay is not caution — delay is complicity. History is brutally clear about what happens when legislatures refuse to restrain authoritarian leaders. Imperial ambition, militarized coercion, contempt for law, and consolidation of unchecked power are not abstract warnings — they are the mechanics of fascism. Congress was designed to stop this. Instead, it has failed. If you continue to hesitate while this President threatens nations across the globe — including allies — you are not preserving stability; you are enabling disaster. I expect a direct response explaining whether you intend to uphold your oath to the Constitution, or whether Congress will continue surrendering its authority while an increasingly unstable President steers us toward global annihilation. Do your jobs. We didn’t elect you to allow a dictator to take hold.
