I am writing to share my very deep concern about the firing of all USAID employees. I just read a shattering first person account from one such former employee which brought home to me the complete awfulness of what has been done. USAID employees are people who have uprooted their lives to go to a foreign country and volunteered to serve in often extremely difficult places. Their entire lives have now been upended on the whim of an unelected billionaire via an illegal order to boot. I am angry and upset and am looking to you, my elected representatives in governemnt, to do something.
