The SAVE Act is voter suppression. Kill that bad bill and expand voting.

To: Sen. Husted, Sen. Moreno, Pres. Trump, Rep. Balderson

From: A verified voter in Reynoldsburg, OH

June 27

Here's what the SAVE Act actually does to you: Your driver's license? Not good enough. Your REAL ID? Nope. Your military ID? Still no. To register, or even update your registration after moving, you must show up in person to an election office with a passport or birth certificate. A passport costs at least $165. A certified birth certificate runs $10 to $50. A lost naturalization certificate costs $1,385 to replace. That's not a safeguard. That's a poll tax. Online registration is used by 42 states and would be eliminated. Mail registration would end entirely. Already registered for years? Doesn't matter. Move down the block, change your name, switch your party? You're back in line at the election office with documents in hand.
