Oppose the Trump administration's $1.7 billion "Anti-Weaponization Fund" and do everything in your power to block it. This is not a legitimate legal settlement — it is a taxpayer-funded slush fund structured specifically to avoid judicial review. That alone should alarm every member of Congress regardless of party.
Rep. Jamie Raskin called it exactly what it is: a racket to pull $1.7 billion out of the Treasury and hand it to Trump's political allies. The original lawsuit stemmed from a real crime — the leak of Trump's tax returns — and the perpetrator was already sentenced to five years in prison. Justice was served. There is no legal or moral justification for creating a billion-dollar fund on top of that, with no court oversight and no clear list of beneficiaries. Trump's own sons are named plaintiffs. This is self-dealing on a scale that should trigger immediate congressional action.
Ninety-three members of Congress have already filed a brief challenging this arrangement. Ethics watchdogs including Democracy Forward are fighting it in court. I expect you to stand with them — publicly and forcefully. Demand transparency on who receives these funds, push for legislation to block disbursement, and hold hearings. Silence on this is not an option.
