I’m contacting on behalf of thousands of drivers in our beautiful state of Georgia who can’t see to drive at night given modern LED headlights. Headlights have become so bright that I’m noticing drivers with halogen headlights that no longer dim their headlights for oncoming traffic. I also feel this issue isn’t being addressed by law enforcement around the state because the issue is aumenting and becoming more problematic. I would like to know if legislation or any bill has been introduced that could ramp up consequences for not dimming halogen headlights or having LED headlights that are too bright for oncomers to see while driving at night. If so, I think we need to move along with getting this on the floor so we can make driving safe for all. I would love to work with representatives and senators on this issue here in Georgia so that we can make our communities safer at night for people, like myself, who suffer from astigmatisms and other ailments that lower our ability to see at night. LED headlights have gotten so bright; so much that I believe other drivers just don’t worry to dim their high beams. I’ve driven through several counties and I’ve gradually noticed this issue getting worse over the last few years. I think this issue is huge and I believe it affects more people than what we realize and I would love to crack down on bright lights in Georgia, even if it’s a campaign that encourages drivers to dim their headlights for oncoming traffic along with legislation. I truly commend you on the wonderful work you’re doing for our state. You received my vote and will as long as you help your constituents and continue to be a voice for us. I appreciate how hard you both are working to fight the current regime which tries to oppress us and take away what makes us America. We can’t allow our voices to go unheard.
