Pennsylvania experienced significant voting system issues and irregularities during the 2024 presidential election that warrant further investigation to ensure the integrity of the results. Machine errors were reported in at least 20 counties, with many involving ballot scanners and vote tabulators failing to properly scan ballots. There were also bomb threats called in to over 30 counties on Election Day, causing delays. Most concerningly, an analysis by the Election Truth Alliance (ETA) identified atypical "drop-off" voting patterns in 47 out of 67 counties, where the candidate for president received significantly fewer votes than down-ballot candidates like the Senate race. In at least 17 counties, this drop-off trend coincided with reported machine errors. ETA's analysis also found a lack of alignment between some counties' partisan voter registration and the actual votes cast, with unexplained surges for one candidate over the other relative to registration numbers. With vulnerabilities to malicious software already demonstrated in voting systems, and the explicit reference to "vote-counting computers" by the President-Elect, a thorough investigation is critical. Potential steps should include audits of paper ballots through hand recounts where necessary. Upholding the constitutional right to vote requires utmost diligence in ensuring no election interference or manipulation occurred. Officials must take action to validate the 2024 Pennsylvania results and safeguard future elections.
