Insane, incompetent, corrupt, illegal, expensive. STOP IRAN war NOW

The conduct of Trump's Iran war is illegal, corrupt, insane, incompetent, and colossally expensive. It is a catastrophe according to any yardstick you choose. Please: do oversight, assert the war powers of Congress and do not fund it further. Remember that before Trump, we had a satisfactory nuclear agreement with Iran, signed by Obama. And the straits of Hormuz were open. We now have neither. *Illegal* The war lacks congressional authorisation. The U.S. has committed war crimes and Trump has stated his intervention to commit genocide. *Insane?* Per the Wall Street Journal: A bombshell new report reveals that "top military officials have kept Trump out of the room during Iran war operations because they fear his erratic behavior will put troops in harm's way. www.wsj.com/politics/nat.." It was reported yesterday that "Donald Trump [was kept out of the] Iran situation room: A critical rescue mission in Iran saw President Donald Trump excluded from the Situation Room. Aides feared his impatience could jeopardize the operation to recover a downed airman. Despite his absence from the command center, the pilot was safely extracted." (Per the Economic Times.) Trump reportedly spent hours screaming at aides in a n empty West Wing, haunted specter of the 1979 Iranian crisis. "If you look at what happened with Jimmy Carter... it cost him the election..." *Corrupt?* Per Josh Rogin: "Somebody shorted the oil market today by hundreds of millions of dollars exactly 20 minutes before Trump made his announcement— If you see that once, it could be a coincidence. But that's happened at least three times, if not more, since the war began — that's a pattern" It looks as if Trump's announcements are enabling market manipulation: "Someone knew... there was a $760 million bet that oil would crash placed 20 minutes before it did. This wasn't a fluke. It happened three times in six weeks. The feds are investigating. The question isn't whether someone had inside knowledge of U.S. war decisions. It's who." Finally: Jared Kushner's diplomatic role with Iran that mention Kushner has received billions from the Saudi government. *Incompetent?* Status quo ante: The Straits of Hormuz were open. There was a no nuke deal with Iran signed by Obama. Now after a war costing a billion dollars a day, neither of those things is true. There is no resolution in sight. The U.S. has committed war crimes. All this for a billion dollars a day. Any single one of the issues should have provoked the sternest action from Congress.
