Do not repeal Section 230

To: Rep. Lynch, Sen. Markey, Sen. Warren

From: A constituent in Brockton, MA

February 12

Hi, I am one of your constituents, I am writing you to urge you to not support any repeal of Secton 230 of The Communications Decency Act of 1996. To do so would immediately stifle all free speech on the internet by forcing platforms to be responsible for the content that their users post, and in effect make them publishers. They would be forced to vet content of all kinds before it can be posted, preventing people from expressing opinions that may or may not be mainstream. This would be a massive blow to basic freedom of speech in America, and must be stopped.
