As a constituent, I’d like a written reply please.

To: Sen. Tuberville, Rep. Palmer, Sen. Britt

From: A constituent in Birmingham, AL

February 12, 2025

For the second time now in weeks, many of us have taken off work because we feel like if we aren’t in your face, we don’t exist to you. In your position, to have constituents feel that way should make you pause. Does it? We are terrified for our future because you’ve shown time and again that you work for you. Your morals, which are not lawfully even allowed in the room, rule your decisions. Not fact. Not logic. Not need. Not want. None of us asked for this. Our kids are *afraid* of the government because all they hear is how much you think they’re disgusting, immoral, and my own child has been called a baby killer and she is barely old enough to carry a child, has never been pregnant, and for sure has never killed a baby, nor had an abortion. But that is what this rhetoric brings out in your fans. I’m afraid of my daughter being raped again by a straight man (again). Or myself who was sexually assaulted by a Birmingham fire fighter who was also married and straight. I would like a written reply that cites the instances of sexual crime or violence that has been committed by trans people. Surely you have that to write a law on it. If you don’t, I don’t know what to say anymore for you except that we will take it from here because we are so tired of being targeted by two people who don’t know ANY of us. We are moms, dads, employees of your state in some cases. Why do you HATE us so much that you’d put literal targets on us and our kids? Do you know how many queer children will commit suicide this year because of this? Please research. I am BEGGING you.
