Clarence Thomas must be impeached. His concurring opinion in the recent 6-3 ruling on transgender athletes crossed from legal analysis into something uglier — a personal attack on the dignity and existence of transgender people, describing gender dysphoria as "a mutable mental state" and declaring that trans women are not women, "even if they believe that they are." That is not jurisprudence. That is contempt dressed in legal language.
Thomas has faced serious, documented allegations of corruption for years, including undisclosed gifts and travel from wealthy donors with interests before the Court. A justice who refuses accountability while using his seat to demean vulnerable Americans has forfeited the public trust. The House has the constitutional authority to act. Use it.
