I am writing with urgent concern regarding the illegal deportation of Venezuelan migrants, including Andry Hernandez Romero, a gay makeup artist and legal resident with no criminal record, and Abrego Garcia, to prisons in El Salvador. This policy—sending innocent asylum seekers to foreign detention facilities—is not only inhumane but also a flagrant violation of national and international law. Our government’s failure to address or reverse this action is unacceptable. I demand immediate intervention to bring Andry Hernandez Romero and Abrego Garcia home, and to halt this dangerous practice. Our nation must stand up for human rights and hold accountable those responsible for these gross injustices.
