I’m writing to express my deep concern regarding the horrific conditions at ICE detention camps and ICE’s ongoing abuse of immigrants. I ask that the representative hold this administration accountable for their attacks on both immigrants and citizens by: 1. Conducting public oversight investigations into the unsanitary conditions of detention camps to endure the rights and safety of detainees 2. Demanding the closure of inhumane detention camps like Delaney Hall in Newark where immigrants are being violently abused 3. Condemning ICE’s cruel treatment of defenseless children and call for their release from detention camps 4. Demanding full investigations into ICE’s use of violence, including deadly force 5. Refusing to pass any appropriations or budget reconciliation bill that provides funding for ICE. Thank you for your time and consideration.
