As a constituent, I am appalled that you voted for the NDAA including the draconian measure to strip trans youth of gender affirming care under TRICARE. My child is trans and struggled growing up because such care was not available 30 years ago. No doctor is "sterilizing" children. This is nothing more than GOP manufacturing hysteria. Gender affirming care for minors generally involves puberty blockers to delay the onset OG puberty. These are used to treat other conditions and the GOP is silent. This just proves they only care about it because of their juvenile fear of trans people. I expect a better level of care from you for the children of those who serve our country. I expect you to protect trans health care for all people. We are facing an incoming president and his party who campaigned on dehumanizing trans people. Do you know who else did this? Hitler did it in the 1930s. He rounded up LGBTQ+ people and sent them to concentration camps. Ostensibly, he did it to "protect the children" of Germany from corruption. Sound familiar? Trans people represent 1-2% of the population but are targets of derision and hate. Your vote added to their burden. Think about that when you consider legislation. I expect you to fight back against such provisions.
