Stop Orwellian surveillance of Americans' private data

To: Sen. Wyden, Rep. Bonamici, Sen. Merkley

From: A constituent in Portland, OR

June 1

The Trump administration's unchecked efforts to amass Americans' private data, including contracting Palantir founded by Peter Thiel, raise grave threats to civil liberties. As reported, the government has illicitly obtained bank accounts, student loans, medical records, and disability statuses - now Palantir without proper oversight has been contracted to consolidate this trove across agencies. This Orwellian domestic surveillance violates privacy rights on an unprecedented scale. We demand an immediate halt to these unconscionable data grabs and the implementation of robust legal safeguards prohibiting such abuses of power. Americans' personal information must be fiercely guarded, not amalgamated into an Orwellian digital dragnet by the state and companies like Palantir and DOGE.
