Block Trump's Executive Order Seizing Federal Control Over Mail-In Voting

To: Sen. Murray, Pres. Trump, Sen. Cantwell, Rep. DelBene

From: A verified voter in Bothell, WA

August 3

The Supreme Court must not stay the injunction blocking Trump's Executive Order 14399. This EO hands federal agencies control over who receives a mail-in ballot — a power the Constitution explicitly reserves to the states. I need you to speak out loudly and publicly against this administration's attempt to use the shadow docket to quietly dismantle voting rights before the midterms. The timing here is not accidental. The administration has deliberately delayed implementing the most aggressive provisions of the EO, keeping the courts at bay by arguing the rules aren't "final" yet. That's the trap. By the time rules are finalized, it may be too late for state attorneys general or courts to stop voter disenfranchisement before Election Day. The red states supporting this EO are handing away their own constitutional authority over elections — apparently willing to do so if it means making it harder for certain voters to cast a ballot. Gallup now puts the Supreme Court's approval at a record-low 33%. The public sees what's happening. Voting is a right, not a privilege, and this EO is a direct assault on it. Use your platform and your vote to hold this administration accountable. The people are watching.
