I am a disabled constituent who relies upon Medicare and Medicaid for all of my critical healthcare. I have always intended to return to work and am a client of the excellent services and staff of the New Mexico Division of Vocational Rehabilitation. My primary counselor has work with me for almost three 3️⃣ years, through numerous health-related setbacks. I am now on track to open my practice as an End-of-Life Doula, serving Northern New Mexico, filling in gaps in a broken healthcare system and the needs of seniors and the terminally ill. I wrote to you about the recent Big Ugly Betrayal Bill before there was a floor vote. I did not receive even a canned acknowledgement of your receipt of my letter - from the Governor Luján-Grisham or my State Legislators, I did not receive a single response. Now that the GOP has managed to pass the worst legislation since before the Cil War and Jim Crow Segregation, how will you ensure that low income, disabled constituents, like myself, are still able to access low and no-cost quality healthcare??? I look forward to a personalized, direct, honest, meaningful, and substantive response to my concerns for my health, and wellbeing in the future. In love and service,
