An Open Letter

To: Sen. Tuberville, Sen. Britt, Rep. Palmer

From: A constituent in Birmingham, AL

June 10

Dear Congress, Social Security is projected to be fully solvent only until 2032. Without action, 63 million Americans — mostly seniors — face an automatic 23% benefit cut. A simple fix exists: remove the payroll tax cap so high earners pay the same rate on all their income as everyone else. This single change would extend full Social Security benefits for decades. Please act now to protect seniors and keep your promise. Remove the cap and fully fund Social Security. Thank you.
