Eric Adams has demonstrated that he is no longer accountable to the people of New York City, instead owing his allegiance to Donald Trump's self-serving agenda that the vast majority of New Yorkers repudiated. Given the gravity of the corruption allegations against him and his complicity in undermining the will of voters, removal from office is the only appropriate recourse to uphold democratic principles and restore faith in city leadership. New Yorkers deserve representation from someone whose sole priority is advancing their interests, not capitulating to a vindictive former president.
