Request for Immediate Congressional Intervention to Protect Global Stability
To: Rep. Casar, Sen. Cornyn, Sen. Cruz
From: A constituent in Austin, TX
April 7
I am writing to you as a concerned citizen to urge immediate congressional oversight regarding recent statements and threats made by the President that suggest the potential destruction of an entire civilization.
Regardless of political affiliation, the preservation of human life, global stability, and moral responsibility must remain paramount. Language or actions that escalate toward large-scale devastation are deeply alarming and demand swift and decisive checks and balances.
Congress has both the authority and the duty to act as a safeguard against decisions that could lead to irreversible consequences. I respectfully ask that you:
• Publicly address and condemn any rhetoric that implies mass destruction
• Exercise your constitutional powers to ensure restraint in military decision-making
• Pursue diplomatic and peaceful resolutions above all else
• Reaffirm the United States’ commitment to international law and human rights
Given the gravity and immediacy of these threats, Congress must act without hesitation. I urge you to invoke every constitutional tool at your disposal—impeachment, removal, or the 25th Amendment—to prevent any individual from wielding power in a way that could lead to catastrophic, irreversible loss of life. This is a moment that demands decisive action, not deliberation or delay. If the President is unwilling or unable to uphold the fundamental responsibility to protect humanity, then Congress has an obligation to remove that authority immediately. The cost of inaction is unthinkable.
This is not a partisan issue—it is a human one. History will remember the choices made in moments like this. I urge you to act with courage, wisdom, and a commitment to protecting life on a global scale.
