I am writing from Culver City, California to express my deep concern about withdrawal of new funding opportunities for the Office of Violence Against Women (OVW). OVW funding is a critical lifeline for domestic and sexual violence victim abuse service programs in California. I am calling on you to demonstrate leadership in resisting this action. We both know that victims of domestic and sexual violence will be harmed by this action, and programs already reeling from the recent federal funding freeze will be negatively impacted even further. I urge your support to ensure that survivors of violence and the programs that serve them have access to vital, lifesaving funding.
