The Senate is going to hold its hearing on KOSA and the 19 bills it wants to pass. As a constituent and great-aunt, I remain opposed to these bills in their entirety. They need to be heavily reworked and narrowed to the most extreme situations that would call for enforcement. In their current forms they would create more incentives for unscrupulous age verification and spyware vendors to collect data, sell it or use it to create CSAM. This has already happened in the UK. Oppose KOSA, the SCREEN act, STOP CSAM and the other bills.
