Urgent: Opposition and Request Withdrawal from Military Conflict With Iran

To: Rep. McGovern, Sen. Markey, Sen. Warren

From: A constituent in Hopkinton, MA

March 15

I am writing to you today as a constituent to express my firm opposition to continued military engagement and the escalation of conflict with Iran. I urge you to support an immediate and orderly withdrawal of U.S. forces and to prioritize diplomatic solutions over further military intervention. The human and financial costs of prolonged involvement in this region are unsustainable. Our national security is best served by de-escalating tensions and focusing our resources on domestic priorities and constructive international engagement. I believe that further military action lacks a clear, achievable objective and risks broader regional instability that could have devastating consequences for years to come. As my representative, I ask that you: Vote against any further funding for offensive military operations involving Iran. Support legislation that reasserts Congressional authority over declarations of war and limits executive overreach in military matters. Advocate for renewed diplomatic channels to resolve underlying conflicts without the use of force. Thank you for your time and for considering the views of your constituents on this critical issue. I look forward to hearing about the steps you will take to move our country toward a path of peace and withdrawal.
