I strongly urge you to vote against the SAVE America Act in any form—whether standalone or hidden in a budget reconciliation bill.
This bill would be the most restrictive voting legislation ever passed by Congress. It would disenfranchise millions of Americans—Republican and Democrat alike—by requiring proof of citizenship documents and photo ID, while banning mail-in ballots except in extreme circumstances.
The bill is based on a false premise: there is no widespread election fraud. This is voter suppression, not election security. It will harm:
Married women and people whose names don't match their birth certificates due to name changes
Elderly citizens without current ID
Military service members deployed overseas
People with disabilities who rely on mail voting
Low-income Americans without easy access to proof-of-citizenship documents
Congress should not pass a bill designed to remove millions of eligible voters from the rolls. The Senate has repeatedly rejected this bill for good reason.
Vote NO on the SAVE America Act. Protect voting rights.
