Abolish ICE: End this Unchecked Murder Machine I am writing as a voting constituent to demand an immediate end to federal immigration enforcement abuses by defunding and abolishing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). ICE operates as a rogue agency immune to basic standards of civil rights and democratic accountability. In pursuit of arbitrary arrest quotas, ICE agents regularly engage in unlawful enforcement tactics that terrorize our communities. Reports reveal agents obscuring their faces with masks to avoid identification, using invasive surveillance technology, routinely applying excessive physical force, and denying essential medical care to detainees. These unchecked abuses have led to racial profiling, wrongful detentions of U.S. citizens, fabricated assault claims to justify fatal shootings, and plans to deploy high-tech electric shock gloves against individuals. Systemic violence, lack of transparency, and persistent constitutional violations demonstrate that ICE cannot be reformed from within. Patchwork oversight measures are insufficient to curb an agency built on intimidation and anonymity. Protecting human rights and upholding equal justice requires dismantling this unsafe system entirely. I urge you to take immediate legislative action to defund, dismantle, and abolish ICE, redirecting public resources toward humane, community-centered approaches that respect human dignity and constitutional rights.
