I am writing to you as a concerned constituent to demand that Congress take immediate and decisive action to impeach, convict, and remove President Donald J. Trump from office. The President’s recent actions have demonstrated a flagrant disregard for the Constitution, the rule of law, and the security of our global alliances. The President’s recent unilateral military intervention in Venezuela—specifically the "Operation Absolute Resolve" strikes on Caracas and the capture of Nicolás Maduro on January 3, 2026—was carried out without congressional notification or authorization. This is a clear violation of the War Powers Resolution and an overreach of executive authority that bypasses the constitutional role of Congress in declaring war. Furthermore, the President’s escalating threats to invade and annex Greenland are profoundly dangerous. By publicly stating that he will take the territory "the hard way" and suggesting he will bypass our NATO allies in Denmark, he is actively destabilizing the most successful military alliance in history. Threatening a sovereign ally with military force is not only "lawless" but places our national security at unprecedented risk. Most alarmingly, these actions reflect an apparent disdain for the democratic processes that define our nation. The President’s rhetoric suggests a leader who believes he is above the law and the checks and balances of our government. I urge you to act now before he takes even more drastic steps to consolidate power, such as attempting to interfere with our electoral cycles or undermining the authority of the Legislative Branch. The preservation of our democracy depends on your willingness to hold the Executive Branch accountable. I ask that you fulfill your oath of office and move to remove President Trump before further irreparable damage is done to the Republic.
