It is fiscally irresponsible to authorize an astronomical slush fund for untested technology—especially when experts warn of exploitable failures and a lack of military doctrine. Most importantly, the Department of Defense remains the only federal agency unable to pass a basic financial audit. I demand that you block any additional funding for the Pentagon until it can fully account for its existing trillions in assets. Our national security is not defined solely by drone swarms, but by the stability of our communities. This $54 billion would be far better utilized addressing the domestic crises facing your constituents. I urge you to prioritize funding for affordable housing, universal healthcare, and accessible childcare. We must stop prioritizing the machinery of warfare over the well-being of the American people. Please stand for fiscal accountability and human needs by demanding a passed audit before another dollar is diverted to war.
