An Open Letter

To: Rep. Lee, Sen. McCormick, Sen. Fetterman

From: A constituent in Pittsburgh, PA

November 10

I stand firmly opposed to the current budget agreement being voted on by the US Senate. While I understand the need for compromise, this agreement fails to prioritize the needs of everyday Americans. It neglects crucial investments in education, healthcare, and infrastructure, which are essential for fostering a thriving economy and ensuring a better future for our children. Instead, it appears to cater more to special interests and corporate entities, leaving vulnerable communities to fend for themselves. Moreover, this budget lacks transparency and accountability, making it difficult for citizens to trust that their tax dollars will be used effectively. We need a budget that reflects our values and addresses the pressing issues facing our society, such as climate change and social inequality. I urge my representatives to reconsider this agreement and advocate for a budget that truly serves the people and invests in our collective future.
