I'm writing to ask that you oppose H.R. 722, the dangerous attempt to ban abortion nationwide. This bill would effectively take away reproductive rights in every state—even where voters have already chosen to protect them. I also have concerns about how this would impact access to fertility treatments, namely I.V.F., and about how this would contribute to the continued attempts to allow the government to make uninformed decisions regarding necessary healthcare for women and nonbinary people. The government should not be involved in anyone’s healthcare decisions and this bill would set a dangerous precedent for that.
