All of Trump’s tariff s are illegal including the recent “agreement” of a 15% tariff on goods from the EU. This is essentially a new 15% sales tax levied directly on American consumers. This illegal tariff deal masquerading (like all the others) as a trade agreement will drive up costs for everyday products, disproportionately burdening working families already struggling with rising prices. I implore you to take back the legal authority of Congress to levy tariffs!! (I do not understand why Congress hasn’t made any move to do this!) A first step would be to publicly denounce and reverse these illegal tariffs that act as de facto sales taxes punishing American consumers and companies rather than purported trade offenders.
