Student loan repayment relief

To: Sen. Schiff, Sen. Padilla, Rep. Simon

From: A constituent in Oakland, CA

April 11

The current administration has suspended income-derived student loan repayment programs. Without those programs, my student loan payments are far too burdensome to sustain. I honestly don't know what I am going to do without the program. I am a part-time ESL teacher with a disability. With income-based repayment, I could live frugality but comfortably. Without it, I cannot raise my twin children without assistance. I'm not even asking for loan forgiveness. Just a reinstatement of a former successful program. Please advocate for me and others with student loan debt. Restore income-based repayment. Thank you.
