Asaad Al-Nassasrah is the only surviving paramedic of Israel's immoral targeting of humanitarian workers on March 23, 2025. Those killed include eight Palestinian Red Crescent Society members, one United Nations staff member, and six Palestinian Civil Defense workers. Al-Nassasrah has recently been confirmed as alive and his survival is contingent upon your ability to speak on our behalf. According to the Geneva Convention, the intentional targeting of medical personnel is a war crime. Assad Al-Nassasrah is currently being held without charge by Israel after their illegal attack on, and execution of, his team of paramedics. The PRCS is a recognized extension of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Society, and is therefore protected under international law. Asaad Al-Nassasrah must be released by Israel immediately. He was kidnapped after rushing to help his colleagues, other humanitarian workers who were targeted by the Israeli military, in order to lure as many personnel as possible into a designated kill zone. We call upon you to respect international law and hold your political peers accountable. Your silence in the face of Israel’s deliberate targeting of humanitarian teams sets an incredibly dangerous precedence, not only for the people of Palestine but for humanitarian workers worldwide. Free Asaad Al-Nasassrah immediately and condemn Israel’s flagrant disregard for international law.
