I’m a constituent living in Georgia. I’m writing with deep concern about the recent reports that international students across the U.S.—including those at Georgia schools—are having their visas revoked for engaging in constitutionally protected speech.
The use of artificial intelligence to monitor student social media and the apparent targeting of those who support Palestinian rights is alarming. This practice raises serious questions about free speech, due process, and the dangerous precedent it sets for government overreach.
Many of these students came here believing in the American promise of freedom and opportunity. To punish them for peaceful political expression is not only morally wrong—it’s a betrayal of our core democratic values.
I’m asking you directly:
What will you do to protect international students in Georgia from unjust targeting and to uphold their First Amendment rights?
Will you speak out, push for oversight, or introduce legislation to curb this abuse of executive power?
We need leadership that defends civil liberties, not silence in the face of injustice.
Thank you for your time. I hope to see you stand up for what is right.
