Pennsylvanians are rightfully proud of the Flight 93 Memorial in Shanksville. It’s hallowed ground, honoring the lives of the people who bravely fought the terrorists who intended to crash the plane into the White House.
Now, in stark contrast to the heroes who declared, “Let’s Roll!” our Congress is rolling over and staying silent while allowing the president to destroy the people’s house, and to do so without any oversight, without any permits or approval— completely illegally. In addition, private donors are supposedly paying for the Trump Ballroom. Why? Clearly they are paying for future presidential favors— bribes. The corruption is blatant and the destruction is sickening, and for Congress to just sit by and watch this happen is truly shameful, weak, and sad.
Trump is truly acting like a dictator, and there appears to be nothing we can do about it, not when our representatives are weak sycophants who have willingly turned over their power to the executive branch. I have attended fundraisers and donated to you in the past, and I used to think you were reasonable and honestly cared about democracy and the people. I am sorely disappointed by your unwillingness to stand up to this corrupt administration.
