Oppose U.S. Involvement in Iran-Israel Conflict

To: Rep. Smith, Gov. DeSantis, Sen. Brodeur

From: A verified voter in Winter Springs, FL

June 20

I am writing as a deeply concerned constituent to strongly urge you to oppose any U.S. involvement—military, financial, or otherwise—in the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran. This is not our war. American lives, resources, and moral standing should not be sacrificed in yet another overseas conflict with no clear objective, no achievable endgame, and no benefit to the American people. The United States has spent decades and trillions of dollars in endless wars across the Middle East, often making situations worse, not better. We must not repeat that mistake. This conflict is regional, rooted in a complex history that cannot be solved with U.S. bombs or troops. Further involvement risks sparking a broader war, drawing in global powers, and destabilizing not only the Middle East but also our own economy and national security. We’ve seen what happens when we intervene—we create power vacuums, deepen humanitarian crises, and set ourselves up for decades of blowback. We need diplomacy, not escalation. Restraint, not aggression. I urge you to rally against any authorization for the use of military force, additional weapons sales, or deployment of U.S. personnel related to this conflict. Instead, invest in domestic priorities and use the power of the U.S. to push for a peaceful resolution through international cooperation and diplomacy. Please stand with the American people—not the war machine.
